Lotharek + HCX + ASR10 = Satisfaction

Post by ceté »

Hi all,
This week I received a very desired purchase, a Lotharek REV FB Black + SDHC Card 16GB.
Purchase, delivery and pre-sales assistance (thanks Jean François) has been fantastic, so I was able to resuscitate my old ASR-10.
The installation has been very simple, the new floppy has fit perfectly.
The implementation has been more complicated, you have to configure the emulator as IBMPC-HD, and not as Shugart as I had seen on the internet, so that the ASR10 can load the instruments properly. In Shugart mode, it only recognizes the OS but does not load the instruments.

Now I only have one question: how do you save instruments, presets, sequences, samples, audiotracks, etc.?
The only way that I have found to do it is in an HFE image of the floppy emulator that has space.
How can be created empty HFE images to save samples, seq, etc?

Happy Christmas to all.

You can format an image with the ASR to make it clean and empty.

Have a look to this, this may interest you :

Thanks a lot Jeff, the procedure has been very simple, I created a folder on the SD card with multiple copies of the same image and then from the ASR10 I have formatted each one of the images, with which I have empty discs to go keeping my jobs.

I will test the EFE2HFE v2 to see if I get 5100kb file images

Thanks again.
