Ensoniq SQ80 Format Errror ARRRGH

Ok just got a few REV F's in3.5 form factor. Jumpers are on ID0 A and ID0 B(is this right btw? there is no rev f manual for the form factor and the jumpers are quite different) anyways...the sq80 recognizes the drive. I used a 720k DSDD .hfe image and it begins to format ok and then bombs on the 79th sector. The sq80 says "....format failure...this disk is unusable." Can someone quite possible walk me through the steps of creating a blank dos disk image with the new beta software on mac if i'm doing something wrong? Or some insight into what i'm doing wrong in general? Please excuse my ignorance as I'm a full on noob on this one.

I have just added some blank ready-to-use SQ80 images :

Just unzip the right zip (SDHxCFE_Ensoniq_SQ80.zip) on your sdcard.

btw can you briefly explain why i was getting the error...in case i lose these files i will be able to make new ones.
