Can't get EII to boot or load from HxC SD

Post by midipuppies »

I have finally got around to working on my HxC/EII project.
I get a 'disk format error' whenever I try to get the EII to boot from the HxC. I read that you have to eject the 'disk' a couple of times and then reload, but it makes no difference. I have tried all of the O.S. images on EMXP site and the quick start ones on the HxC site, but nothing makes any change. I don't need to upload the .CFG file as I am using the one provided and have checked all of the settings.
Just a 'disk format error' every time.

Hi

Please try to update your HxC with the attached firmware. An issue was corrected related to the Em-II/SP1200 startup.

If still doesn't works please check your cable connection and jumper settings.

Also here you can find some working image :

Thanks Jeff. I got it working last night. It was (I think) a combination of the old firmware and the jumper settings on the 5.25 floppy drive.

Another question: What type of LEDs can I use to replace the tiny ones on HxC?

Thanks, Jay
