I have an HXC SD Rev C running 1.6.0.0 that has suddenly started hanging up when I try and enter a folder and all I get is the [ >.. Choose a file ] message and a solid yellow LED.

I have the same result with both of my cards that were previously working fine as well as a brand new San Disk card. Has anyone else had this error?

I have gone over my connections and they all seem fine, and even if I disconnect the HXC entirely I get the same result. Is it possible for the firmware to corrupt in the process of normal operation?

No, I had not performed any firmware operations, the HXC was working fine a few weeks ago but I do recall having a scrambled display on a few occasions but the HXC worked fine after a restart.

I did try and update the firmware to fix the issue 3 days ago but the same problem persists.

Also : Try to switch off the sound of the hxc in the config file (use the hxc software for this).

Jeff,

I have had no luck with the new config file. Still the same problem.

When i attempt to navigate to a folder the HXC goes back to >TRASHES.

If i can manage to enter a folder and attempt to load a file I get >>>!Bad File!<<<

Sometimes there is a slowly flashing amber LED. This is with both the ribbon cable attached and also the same behaviour when it's not.

Please try it on another power supply. (In a PC for example).

Ok. When did you get your floppy emulator ?

Can you check the SDCard power supply voltage at the SDCard connector ? You should have ~3.6V.
