Emu EOS 4.7 Question

Post by dykesh »

I have an external HxC that I am using with my emulator 2 and I have an internal on an MPC 60. I am trying to get the external to work on an Emu E5000 ultra as a replacement for the floppy drive. The internal cables are correct so I connected it. I have tried adding the emax hfe files to the SD card. The e5000 always asks me to insert a disk when I try to use the SD card. Anyone have any experience with this? The SD card is formatted in Fat32. Thanks

Jeff,
Thanks for your time and help. What I did was add the Emax_SE_Bios_Disc.hfe and HXCFE_V1_8_2_40.upd and HXCSDFE.CFG files from the QuickInstall_FloppyDiskImages.zip. I left the jumpers empty because the original floppy drive did not have any jumper on it. I was hoping that the EOS 4.7 system would see the SD Card as an 8GB FAT 32 harddrive that I could store banks and presets on rather than a single floppy. I think I have attached a picture of the external SD reader I have from Lotharek. I just cannot figure out what files need to be on the SD Card and I am unsure of the jumper settings? The floppy emulator may not be seen as a Harddrive? I am also using a SanDisk SDHC Card 8GB. Any help is appreciated.

I have the standard two pin jumper that comes with the HxC. I placed it there on the upper two pins based on what the manual says for pc compatibility. The e5000 still asks for a floppy disk rather than seeing the fat32 formatted sd card.
