copying disk image to floppy

Post by jata1976 »

Hi everybody,

I have a simple question regarding SP1200 sample exchange with a friend, who hasn't got the floppy emulator.

If I use the floppy emulator with my SP1200 and I save all my work on that SD card, would I be able to copy back these SP1200 floppy disk image files to a real, physical floppy disk and use it with another SP1200?

So, is there a tool that does it in a straight forward way? Is it compatible with a simple USB floppy drive or I need a special floppy drive in a desktop PC?

Actually the only hardware able to this is the KryoFlux. (http://kryoflux.com/)
The other possibilty is to plug an floppy disk drive + the HxC on the same SP1200 and play with the jumpers exchange the drives during the copy :

Thank you for the fast reply Jeff, I really appreciate it.

So, it means i have to spend money again... :)

I don't know if you use the Kryoflux drive, just wondering how straight forward the operation.

In the ideal case I would just need to copy those floppy image files to my PC from the SD card I use with the HxC floppy emulator and then open them with the Kryoflux's software and use a blank floppy and it will do the job without any hassle.

Is the HxC floppy emulator's and Kryoflux's floopy image formats are compatible with each other?
